Meet the CEO

and your personal industry expert:

Founder and Managing Director of Operations Caitlin Murphy grew up in St. Louis, Missouri – “The Gateway to the West.” After graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in International Business and an emphasis in Mandarin, her love for Chinese culture took her overseas to Peking University. It was there that Caitlin completed an intensive Chinese language program in 2007 and grew her passion for international business.

Traveling around the globe introduced her to the world of international logistics. Her early experience in the Truckload, Less-Than-Truckload, and Freight Brokerage areas of domestic logistics has given her a competitive edge. Caitlin’s background in general commodities freight forwarding and hospitality logistics project management for both domestic and international clients formed a solid foundation to build something entirely new.

After years of seeing the same inefficient approaches to international logistics, she knew the industry needed change. Thus, Caitlin took an ultimately new direction and created Global Gateway Logistics in 2017. The rest is history.
